Here’s how to care for your piece so it stays beautiful for years to come!

Knotted Silk Pieces:

This technique prevents friction between beads and adds flow. Silk will naturally stretch over time and may need restringing every few years—this is normal.

Keep Dry

Do not wear in the shower, sauna, pool, or sea. If wet, remove gently, pat dry, and lay flat in a well-ventilated place to air dry fully.

Remove Before Sleep or Activity

Remove before sleeping or physical activity to prevent pulling, stretching, and contact with sweat, which can accelerate tarnish, damage gemstones and weaken silk.

Chemicals may damage your jewellery

Minimise exposure to lotions, perfume, and sprays, as these may weaken silk, accelerate tarnish, and may damage the gemstones.

Clean regularly

Sterling silver may tarnish over time. Clean the findings regularly using a soft cloth or a polishing cloth designed for sterling silver. Store the item flat and sealed to slow down tarnishing.

Keep your piece flat and sealed when not in use to maintain its shape and protect it from exposure to air, humidity, and dust.

Beads are strung on strong, flexible nylon-coated wire and finished with sterling silver findings.
